KIND: REBRAND / PACKAGING

WHAT:
Strategy, rebrand, and packaging system for Uncommon Coffee Roasters (1994). Concept focuses on radical joy and the nuance of queer expression.
WHY: Uncommon was the first safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Saugatuck, Michigan area and is now woman-led and owned by two multigenerational farmers.
HOW: Visual themes of connectedness, expression, and oddities tie back to history of The Art Coast and Ox-Bow, as well as the radical styles and expressions of collage within the Dada Movement.
